Reformation Celebration on Oct. 4

The 2015 Stewardship Committee is excited to announce that a Reformation Celebration with music provided by Kantor Kevin Hildebrand and seminary students at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne will be on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church.

The musical performance will also include discussion by the students of their seminarian life at Ft. Wayne. A free will offering will be taken for Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne—”Student Aid.” After the performance, sandwiches, salad, drinks, and desserts will be served in the parish hall.

Kevin Hildebrand has served in the Music Department at Concordia Theological Seminary since 2002, and currently serves as Kantor. He directs the Seminary Kantorei and Schola Cantorum, plays the organ for daily chapel, and instructs students in liturgics and church music courses. His service to the Church also includes teaching the annual organist workshops at the seminary and serving as the co-director of The Good Shepherd Institute. Hildebrand is also Kantor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, where he directs the Youth Choir.
