Fall education schedule in full swing

The St. James Fall Education Schedule began on Sunday, Sept. 6, with a number of educational opportunities available to everyone. Here's the rundown:

  • Every Sunday at 9:15 a.m., the Sunday School and an Adult Bible Class is offered.
  • On Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m., a class on the worship of the church is looking at how the worship and the liturgy of the Church developed over the centuries to what we have today. As part of this class, we are looking at the development of the hymnals in the Lutheran church and comparing The Lutheran Hymnal with Lutheran Service Book.
  • On Wednesday afternoons at 3, the Midweek Bible Study class is learning about the history of the Lutheran Church.
  • On Thursday mornings from 9 to 10, Pastor is once again offering Adult Catechesis on the teachings of the Lutheran Church. This class is ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about what the Lutheran Church believes, teaches, and confesses. Luther’s Small Catechism is our guide as we study the Scriptures.
