Sermon
A note from Pastor regarding his sermon:
Our Old Testament and Gospel lessons for this week give us the stories of Ruth and the ten lepers that Jesus miraculously healed. Both Ruth and the lepers faced circumstances that jeopardized their place in society and provided significant obstacles to their survival. But in both cases, we see amazing amounts of trust and faith as they understand God to be their provider and protector. And as a result, we celebrate not only their worldly blessings, but the faith they receive that saves them from the penalties of their sins. This week, we celebrate each of their stories and recognize how we, too, receive faith in God’s salvation… a faith that leads us to cling to God as our certain hope… a faith that truly saves us!
