Sermon
A note from Pastor regarding his sermon:
In the closing of his first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul encourages them to “pray without ceasing.” But it is so easy for us to ignore or forget about this exhortation. Sometimes, we get distracted by the many cares and troubles of this day, without remembering that God encourages us to come to Him at precisely those times. But oftentimes, we might provide our own obstacles to continual prayer… imagining that God will be angry with us if we approach Him in prayer too often, or for trivial or unimportant things.
Our readings for this week challenge us to rethink our hesitation to bring everything to God in prayer. He wants us to trust in Him, to recognize our dependence upon Him, to live our lives in constant prayer to Him. Imagine how differently our lives would look if we recognized that God is always with us and always loves us and always promises to hear us!
