Sermon
A note from Pastor regarding his sermon:
The beginning of John’s Gospel is pretty familiar to us as the appointed reading for the celebration of Christmas Day. But it might surprise us to remember that John’s Gospel contains no description of the events that led to Christ’s birth, or even what happened on that glorious day. Instead, John immediately turns our attention to the true mystery and miracle of Christmas: that God, our eternal, omnipotent, perfectly holy Creator, decided to take on our human flesh, and even die on the cross for our sins. Each time we celebrate Christmas, it is appropriate, therefore, that we marvel at what God has done for us!
