Sermon
A note from Pastor regarding his sermon:
Last week, we heard about how the man that Jesus freed from demonic possession was instructed to “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” This becomes the same charge given to all Christians, regardless of vocation: we love and serve our neighbors, in part, by sharing with them our faith and the reason we can confront all of life’s obstacles with confidence in everlasting life in the new creation.
Our readings this week continue to build upon this duty of spreading the Gospel throughout the world. They remind us of what it truly means to follow Jesus, but they also reassure us that God is with us while we do so, and that our future life with Him is secure regardless of the struggles we face here and now.
