Sermon
A note from Pastor regarding his sermon:
For a third consecutive week, our Gospel reading from Matthew gives us parables that Jesus used to teach the people about the kingdom of heaven. We hear that the kingdom is like a buried treasure, a pearl of great value, and like a net-full of good fish separated from bad fish. These images can sometimes lead us to wonder what it is that we are supposed to do in response to these parables. But is that the ultimate point of Jesus’ lesson for us this week?
