Sermon
Please read the note below from Pastor Woodhouse regarding his sermon:
The final Gospel readings for the church year from Mark include Jesus’ description of the end of the world. Naturally, this is a topic that is of great interest to many Christians. But it is easy to misunderstand the reason Jesus gives His disciples the warnings He does. He is not trying to give clues to His disciples that will allow them to predict when the end will be, but rather encouraging us to always be ready for His return. And this week, Jesus emphasizes that we should be wary of putting our trust in the wrong things as the end approaches. Don’t trust in buildings, false teachers, or even government officials… Trust in Him!
